Dr. Chandranath SenChandranath Sen, MD
Dr. Chandranath Sen is the Chairman in the Department of Neurosurgery as well as Co-Director in the Center for Cranial Base Surgery, Roosevelt Hospital Center. He is a world leader in the complex Neurosurgical treatment of cranial base tumors and has extensive experience in the management of trigeminal neuralgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm. His innovative surgical techniques have minimized complications, while improving patient's ability to regain function and aesthetic appearance after challenging procedures. Dr. Sen is board certified in neurological surgery.
Dr. Noel PerinNoel I. Perin, MD
Dr. Noel Perin is the Director of the Center for Minimally Invasive Spine and Neurosurgery. His primary specialty is Neurosurgery and sub. Specialty is spinal surgery. Dr. Perin has vast experience in the treatment of all disorders of the spine, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. He specializes in minimally invasive and thoracoscopic surgery, surgery for tumors in the spine & spinal cord, peripheral nerve surgery, complex spinal surgery for deformity and spinal fusion and sympathectomy for hyperhidrosis.

Dr. Douglas Cohen is a Harvard educated, Columbia trained board certified neurosurgeon. He has been practicing in the New York City and Westchester area for over 10 years. As well as serving as the Medical Director of the Inpatient Neurosurgical Service at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, he is also the Director of the Medical Board of the international charitable organization, People Against Childhood Epilepsy (PACE). Dr. David J. Langer is the Director of the Center for Neurovascular Surgery at Roosevelt Hospital. His primary specialty is neurovascular/skull base and complex spinal surgery and his clinical interests include neurovascular surgery including arteriovenous malformations, aneurysms and carotid artery disease as well as complex spinal disorders and brain tumors. He additionally has developed a number of research interests in brain revascularization and RNA gene therapy. Dr. Langer is the author of many papers and chapters, and has lectured nationally and internationally on a number of topics in neurosurgery.

Dr. DiGiacinto has been an attending in Neurological Surgery at Roosevelt Hospital for thirty (30) years and is a Senior Attending at the hospital. He has served as Director of Neurosurgery since 1992 and now shares that responsibility under the Chairmanship of Dr. Chandranath Sen. He specializes in the treatment of problems involving the entire spine including disc herniations, arthritis of the spine, tumors of the spine and spinal cord and instability problems requiring complex spinal fusion techniques.

Raj K. Shrivastava completed his BS-MS in Neuroscience at Stanford University and Med school at University of Pennsylvania, Neurosurgery residency at Mt. Sinai, with fellowship training in Cranial Base surgery at RH. Currently, Co-Director of the Brain Tumor Program with specialty interests in brain tumors, skull-base tumors, pituitary tumors, spinal cord tumors and treatment for trigeminal neuralgia. In addition, Dr. Shrivastava is actively involved in the Stereotactic Radio surgery program.
Dr. Chan RoonprapuntChan Roonprapunt, MD
Dr. Chan Roonprapunt has a broad experience in the treatment of surgical disorders of the nervous system. He has a special interest in Chiari Malformations, syringomyelia, and complex spine problems, and was a member of The Chiari Institute at North Shore-LIJ Health system. He is a neurosurgeon with fellowship training in orthopedic spine surgery and with this unique background in neurosurgery and orthopedic spine; he treats all spine conditions, by utilizing minimally invasive techniques of decompression and stabilization. Dr. Roonprapunt graduated from the medical scientist training program at New York University School of Medicine, where he received MD and PhD degrees. His PhD thesis involved the study of acute spinal cord injury. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Paralysis Association. He has been recognized within the “Guide to America’s Top Surgeons 2007” by the Consumer’s Research Council of America and Strathmore’s “Who’s Who 2007-2008.”
